• Gangaur Ghat is one of the most scenic and beautiful destinations of Udaipur. It is even more amazing when the evening falls and all the streets and houses are lit up. • The traditional Gangaur Ghat procession starts from the City Palace and various other places and passes through several parts of the city, led by old litters, war chariots, oxen and performances by folk artists. After the procession has been completed, idols of Gan and Gauri are brought to this ghat and from there they are immersed in Lake Pichola. • Another festival in which Gangaur Ghat plays a vital role is Jal Jhulni Ekadashi.

• The festival is considered to seek blessings of Lord Krishna in which the idols of Bal Gopal (Lord Krishna in child form), from various parts of Udaipur are headed towards Gangaur Ghat, with colourful processions and get concluded at ghat where the locals swing those idols in water.
